TRAINING APPROACHES
Our training philosophy draws from proven methods used by the world's most successful boxing programmes.
Volume Over Intensity
The world's best boxers don't train by hurting each other. In elite gyms, sparring is playful and technical, focused on learning rather than damage.
Light, technical sparring allows you to train more often, develop sharper skills, and stay healthy for the long term. There's a time and place for intensity — but smart training means building hundreds of hours of quality practice.
When you train smart, people want to work with you — and that's how you get better.
Soviet Boxing Method
Soviet boxing methods emphasize a highly technical, strategic, and disciplined approach focused on superior footwork, distance management, and high-volume, accurate punching rather than raw power.
Core techniques include the "pendulum step" for rhythmic in-and-out movement, a jab-heavy offense, and defensive maneuvering to outthink opponents.
Training involves rigorous conditioning, including plyometrics and specialized equipment drills such as landmine punches, building explosive power through technique rather than brute force.
CLUB COMMITTEE
A club committee is elected to run the club, with different people identified to take on different roles. It exists to serve the club and ensure the best possible service is given to its members.
